Wonder

“Look among the nations, and see; wonder and be astounded. For I am doing a work in your days that you would not believe if told. …”

Habakkuk 1:5 ESV

I wonder at how we got to this place. More than halfway through 2020, and Yes! when we look among the nations — around the world — we are astounded!

A pandemic. An unseen threat. Microscopic. Making its way. Around the world. Nation to nation.

It brought us to a stand still. Leaves us with no escape. No place wholly safe from the threat of dis-ease.

But even among this wonder, and the speeding past of the year, the world somehow moves forward. There are joys to be had in the midst of heartache.

I recently wrote to a friend:

Over the past few months,
I've experienced unbelievable joy
and unbelievable heartache.

What a wonder! For me, these joys and heartaches originate in my own little world, the realm of loved ones, and have little to do with pandemics or racial unrest. And I wonder what unbelievable work He is forging in and around me.

Thus the wonder I share today. What I worked on and wrestled with most of 2019. The completion of a second devotional: The Heart of His Word.

The wonder of this work? Wholly self-published. From working with a printer, to finding an editor and graphic designer, and establishing myself as a publisher: Ordinary Press.

Required filing a DBA: Doing Business As

Though the boxes of books arrived in December 2019, just now sharing with you because of the wrestling and wonder of learning how to be an Amazon Seller. Not to mention the challenge of enabling the Look in the Book feature! (But that’s a whole other wonder in itself.)

Hope you’ll take time to peruse the pages of The Heart of His Word.

Continuing the pursuit of shining for Him!

For it is God who says, “Let light shine out of darkness,” who has shone in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

2Corinthians 4:6

Just another wonder of wonders!
