Only with mankind did God establish a covenant relationship based on mutual trust. People, created in the image of God, have the power of freewill and choice – a spirit not solely ruled by instinct but thought and reason. Obedience to God our Creator and Lord maintains the proper order of things and leads to life. Disobedience leads to death: death of opportunities, relationships, blessings.
You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
