28: Christ’s glory: His dying, rising, and returning.
He is not here, for He is risen, as He said.

Christ’s greatest exaltation is founded in His conquering the grave – defeating death.
Through His perfect obedience as the Son of Man, He won back the world. In response, God the Father gives Him all power and authority over creation. Jesus now rules, reigns, and intercedes at the right hand of God waiting to return for the final judgment of all.
And now in these final days, [God] has spoken to us through his Son. …The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven.
