34: God wants you to call Him: Dad.
He destined us for adoption as his children through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace that he freely bestowed on us in the Beloved.
Ephesians 1:5-6 NRSV
By faith in God’s grace, He delivers us from the grip of the “father of lies” (John 8:44) and plants us firmly in His family tree.
We enter His Kingdom as one of His own children. Adopted – not begotten – we become full heirs to all His blessings. Equipped to work in the family business of bringing many more to glory!
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” …and if children then heirs – heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ…
