45: God is your only God.

“You shall have no other gods before Me. …”
Exodus 20:3 NKJV

The first command of the Ten – the one at the top of the list – is: You shall have no other god but God.

Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel, his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: “I am the first and the last; besides me there is no god. …”
Isaiah 44:6 ESV

If there truly is no other god than the One True God, why does He command us to have no other gods?
