52: God is jealous for you.
You must worship no other gods, for the Lord, whose very name is Jealous, is a God who is jealous about his relationship with you.

Worshipping God as He truly is – not as we imagine – is critical to our relationship with Him. When we form our own image of God, we create a false god – an idol – a worthless lie.
God created us. He loves us with a jealous love, a fierce love, and does not want to lose us to lies. Getting this aspect of our faith right (or wrong) comes with the power to influence others for generations.
Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Psalm 100:3 NIV
God uses His power and might to expose lies we believe about Him. He poured out all His Infinite Self on the cross – died – so we might know the truth.
Consider your faith, today. Is your worship of God based on lies or ignorance? Ask Him to show you the way to know Him truly.
