Keeping the heart of the fifth commandment, obedience to God’s view of authority and its use, beginning at home, comes with a blessing of long life and abundance.
Believers set on seeking the treasures of God find His blessings, in both this world and the world to come, when they follow His Way.
“… So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”
John 13:34-35 NLT
All God’s law is the way of love (Galatians 5:14). Loving others with whatever authority God gives you, or puts you under, glorifies Him and leads to a life of abundant joy (Matthew 13:44).
