76: God wants you to safeguard the reputation of others.
“You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.”
Exodus 20:16 ESV
In the ninth commandment of the ten written in stone, God warns His people: Do not tell lies about the people in your life.
Do not misrepresent neighbors, friends, or family when you talk to others about them. Do not cause other people to judge them falsely with your testimony about their lives.
Be careful what you say about the people you know… or believe you know.
“I the Lord search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds.”
