78: Your words represent you and your beliefs about God and the world.
Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.

God’s people represent Him in the world through their words and actions.
As Believers we are to reveal His character with our lives, just like Jesus. God cannot lie (Hebrews 6:18). He wields truth in love, for His glory and the good of His people. So should we.
Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body.
Ephesians 4:25 NIV
In Christ we are one with each other. Everyone is either a fellow Believer or a potential one.
Today consider when your words have misrepresented God… yourself… others…
What was the trigger? fun? anger? fear? pride?
Ask God to teach you to speak the truth in love.
