Then I said, “It’s all over! I am doomed, for I am a sinful man. I have filthy lips, and I live among a people with filthy lips, yet I have seen the King, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.”
Isaiah 6:5 NLT

Finding life through faith in Christ begins with realizing who we are in the sight of our Holy, Holy, Holy God. We cannot deny our guilt when we see ourselves in the truth of His light.

As crazy as it sounds, the sting of discovering we are thoroughly sin-full, acknowledging we deserve nothing but death, opens the door for us to enter God’s glorious grace and mercy.

For the kind of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation. There’s no regret for that kind of sorrow. But worldly sorrow, which lacks repentance, results in spiritual death.
2Corinthians 7:10 NLT

Think about your past response to getting caught. Were you sorry for hurting God and grateful for His grace? Or were you just sorry you got found out? What does this reveal about you? your relationship to God? to the world?
