107 truths about God, the world, and you.
98: Your prayers are an offering of faith.
“…Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in my name, I will do it….” – Jesus
John 14:13-14 ESV
Prayer is an offering of faith. After all, we don’t talk to those we don’t believe exist.
Like Jesus, Believers come to God as their Father with their desires, confessions, and thanks. His followers pray in His name, in His character, pouring out their hearts before the Father. Then they wait with expectant hearts for His response.
By His grace, He saves us, and by His grace, He receives our prayers.
The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desire of those who fear him; he also hears their cry and saves them.
Psalm 145:18-19 ESV
Jesus is the door for us to enter the Father’s presence through prayer. Our trust in Him opens God’s ears to our pleas.
Consider your prayer life. What does your prayer practice reveal about you? about your belief in God? about how you believe the world works?
