One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray…”
Luke 11:1 NIV

Prayer doesn’t come naturally to people because sin sets us at odds with God (Romans 8:7). With the help of the Holy Spirit, all of Scripture provides a framework to build a prayer life.

To know His Word is to know Him – His will, wisdom, and way. Through Spirit-led prayer we forge a relationship with God. Like with anyone, the better we know Him, the better we relate to Him, at times, without words.

Jesus said, “This is how you should pray: Father, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon. Give us each day the food we need, and forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. And don’t let us yield to temptation.”
Luke 11:2-4 NLT

What place does Scripture have in your prayer life?

How comfortable are you praying? Can you sit with Him in silence?

Today, choose to pray. Seek direction from the Spirit. Deepen your relationship with God: Father, Son, and Spirit.
